The Cinematic Art of World of Warcraft
The Cinematic Art of World of Warcraft: The Wrath of the Lich King |
In one of the reviews on the product, a designer and artist named Jon Huff picked up the book because he had an interest in the concept art. The CGI images are what piqued this gentleman's attention, and he did not play the game until after his book purchase!
Yet again, in these same testimonials a person named Lauren was not a player of the game and bought this book! Lauren's interest came from an aspiration of being a video game concept artist. Lauren really enjoyed the technical aspects of the book, from the sketches to the music, to some of the special photo quality prints included in the book.
The book seems to have really good customer reviews. Out of the six people who took the time to leave a review, four of them left a 5 star review. The other two left a 4 star review. Pretty impressive if you ask me.
Like I have said in the past, in this post and earlier posts, I am amazed by the ability of Blizzard Entertainment to draw people in with this game franchise. The sense of community can be an infectious draw for some, while exciting game-play may be the appeal to others. Yet another element is the amount of tireless dedication and pure love that goes into the artistic aspects of the game.
